Cordon An-Sat, was considered to be one of the greatest producers of police dogs and was highly sought after for breeding. Cordon was a black sable dog with tinted legs, absolute dark eyes, a big head, and when he grumbled it was like a bear from deep down inside his chest. He had an excellent temperment who was very gentle with kids or small animals and was absolutely correct !!!! Cordon was the Super bodyguard, he would sense a problem before it occurred each and every time.!!!!! When it came to a civil bite there was no problem but he was not needlessly or uselessly biting. With a super ball drive it carried well into his work ethic often hunting hard and scratching to find articles. His work outside, inside, on floors, or complete darkness posed no problem for Cordon. His bites were natural and serious with a good jump to the decoy's sleeve and his barking was very real. When it came to tracking, Cordon was not a typical IPO dog, but more the Police K9 (that he was) faster but with a good nose......3 or 4 hour tracks gave him no problem. Toward his owner and his family Cordon was always under control and correct but in the training his handler must maintain control, Cordon had to know that his handler was confident in what he was doing.
Cordon was a hard dog who passed on his abilities to his progeny. Some of his progeny included : Mat z Danaru, Ori z danaru, Dante Traho Cs, Ira Venusina Sopka, Cezar u Alfreda, Condor U Alfreda, Police dog Marco z Danaru and the famous Police Dog legend Tom z Pohraniční stráže. Cordon was titled to ZM, ZVV3 and an IPO3. There are only a handful of dogs each year that are of a high enough caliber to be able to obtain the prestigious ZVV3 title.
